Moscow Boys

Dance, Physical Theatre and Circus

Zoo Southside

August 5th to 29th (not 15, 22)

This is an extremely enjoyable seventy minutes in the company of four cheeky and brilliant Russian lads, Pavel and Alexey on violins, Andrei on viola and Grigory on cello. Plus their balefully disapproving instructor.

They leap about with their instruments as well as sitting, sometimes leaping over or climbing onto each other. They include tap-dancing, roller skating and panto in ways that astonish and delight the audience. The spirited boys wiggle their bums and cavort for us, and pay court to women at the front, one of whom is led onstage for a memorable experience…

The music is everything from Tchaikovsky to Pink Floyd, latin to disco, all performed with great exuberance. This is a show that cannot fail to please and to lighten the heart. These Russian boys are very well worth watching; afterwards you may debate with friends as to who was favourite, but all are extremely skilful and they so much seem to be having a great time.

This is a very popular show for which no-one seems to have a bad word, so do get your tickets early if you want to catch this one. Very highly recommended.
